Working hours (business hours) for most agencies in Guyana are from Monday to Thursday
08:00 to 16:30 (12:00 to 20:30 GMT), Fridays 08:00 to15:30 (12:00 to 19:30
GMT). Shops and stores are open later on weekdays and on Saturdays.
Banks and Government agencies are usually closed on Saturdays.

Electrical power
Combinations of both 110V, 220V, 50Hz and 60Hz are found though 110V 60Hz
is slowly becoming more common. Blackouts and brownouts are not uncommon.
Metric system
This is the new standard but is only slowly being adopted in some areas.
Gasolene is now sold in litres.

The US standards are used (VHS, NSTC).
