Christmas Hampers / Christmas Party

The Rotaract Club of Georgetown annually spreads the Christmas cheer by packing and donating Food Hampers. The Community Service Committee, for the last three (3) years, has targeted the families of the children enrolled in the Sophia Literacy Programme Specific products were selected and the approach was one where the importers/ producers of these items were approached for a donation. Rotaractors also donated a few items and monetary contributions were solicited from two (2) Rotary Clubs. The items were packaged and presented to the families on December 21st 2002. Each hamper contained the follow items in quantities suited for a family of six (6) persons. Simultaneously, the children were treated to an out door Christmas Party where they participate in making Christmas Wall Plaques and had lots of goodies to eat and drink, complemented by gifts from the Little Angels Project.
