The collection from the museum includes aspects of Indian indentureship. The silver foot bangle in the picture on the near right was given to the museum by the descendant of the original owner who brought it from India in 1888. The head tie or rumal is still worn in some parts of Guyana. The foot bangle in the picture to the far right is made from brass.
