The museum has a wide collection of coins and notes which were used in Guyana. In the picture to the near left, there is at least a half crown (1922), a 4pence coin (1888), a half crown (1899), a thruppence - three pence (1916) and a 4 pence from 1945. There is also an undated guilder.
The two coins in the middle photograph are commemorative coins - one a silver token from the colonies of Essequibo and Demerara dated 1813, and the Cuffy Silver Dollar commemorating Guyana's Republican status in 1970.
The British Guiana dollar note to the far right is dated from 1937.
