Description
A 7 day trip organised through Frank Singh of Rainforest Tours, based at the Hotel Tower (Main Street, Georgetown).

Things To Do
The trip involves tough walking through rainforest and savannah across the Pakaraima Mountains, covering a distance of 50-60 miles in a week. The walk is rewarded with spectacular views across the savannahs and the opportunity to stay in Amerindian villages along the way. Frank only does this trip once or twice a year and the route seems to vary each time according to the group and weather conditions.

At Orinduik we stayed in the guesthouse and swam by the falls. It is also possible to visit Brazil from here.

Costs
Frank is prepared to lower his price for VSO’s. We paid US $580. This included the flight out to Kaieteur and return flight from Orinduik, all other transportation, food and fuel costs.

We had two guides and two porters who carried all food and cooking utensils. We carried our personal belongings and sleeping gear (travel hammocks, nets etc.)
