Food | Additional Information Description A beautiful and peaceful rainforest retreat located on the banks of the Essequibo river, Shanklands comprises of a “Honeymoon House”, a 2-bedroom lodge, a 1 bedroom cottage and an old bus with single beds /room for hammocks. Accommodation and Food The small cottage has one double bed and costs US $90 each. Nets, bedding and towels are provided. You can either self-cater or buy meals (arrange this in advance when booking through the Cara Suites). There are soft drinks, beer, rum and other spirits plus a small selection of snacks on sale. If you self-cater, you may need to take ice-boxes as there are no fridges in the rooms. Prepared meals are delicious and huge! Information
