Description
A large resort
just outside of Anna Regina, Lake Mainstay caters for large group bookings
and individual travellers.
Things
To Do

This popular lake
has an excellent beach and is suitable for swimming.
The owners have built a bar / café
over the water with steps straight into deep water closed off
for swimming.

There
are many benabs and spaces for hammocks

There
is a marked off volleyball pitch, cricket pitch and water-polo area

Canoes
and paddle-boats can be rented for GUY $1000 per hour

Jetski’s
can be hired for GUY $2700 per 15 mins.

The
entrance fee is GUY $500 per person payable to the resort office
Route
Transport can be arranged from Anna Regina.
The journey takes approx. 45 minutes.

226-2975 - check for relevant costs.
Just
before Lake Mainstay there is another very popular swimming area called
Red Lock
Creek (or Feather Beach). This has a small beach, benches, clean blackwater for
swimming, a shop nearby and a bridge for jumping from in the wet season!
Route - as for Mainstay, but a little cheaper (approx. 30
minutes from Anna Regina). It is a feasible and enjoyable cycle ride
from Anna Regina to Redlock Creek on good tracks (ask someone to direct
you).
