Wildlife: The wildlife in Guyana has suffered impacts from increased agricultural activity, logging and mining.
Forestry: The forestry sector is a major income earner for Guyana, and huge parts of the country is divided into concessions.
Mining: The mining industry is also another important aspect of the Guyanese economy.
Ecotourism: This is a relatively new area for the economy and business ventures.
Urban Environment: The state of the urban environments is a controversial issue.
Agriculture: Agriculture is the main income earner and a major coastal activity.
Indigenous People: The Amerindian people still have the closest to the natural environment and unfortunately are still being marginalized.
Coastal Zone: This zone holds over 90% of the Guyanese population and is the agricultural centre of the country.
