Carol Festival

The annual Christmas Concert is held in the month of December just around the end of the term. This is held in respect of the Christian's holiday. This event normally climax the cheery pall programmed, which starts a few weeks prier. At the beginning of the evening the Cheerers reveal themselves, and gifts are exchanged between students. There are also greetings, songs, poems, skits, and dances performed by students, at least two from each dorm floor.

Valentine's Dinner

The Valentine's Dinner is held every year either the Sunday night before or after the 14th of February. This is one of the most exiting events of the year for resident students. It is customarily held in the Bain Gray Hall (BGH). .

Valentines Dinner in 2004 was a great success……..
On the evening of February 19th 2004 the BGH was filled with resident students who were anxiously awaiting this most looked forward to occasion, all clad and ready for the night of all nights. The entire setting and atmosphere is transferred to one of elegance. In addition to this, the programme aided in making the ambiance suitable to one for dining. There are songs, poems, toasts, competitions and not forgetting the dinner of itself.

Campus week

This event is usually held from the middle to the end of March. This year’s, plans to be even more exiting than last year’s.

What is campus week all about?

Campus week is one of the few social activities that strive to involve all resident students. During this week there are inter floor competitions in games such as basket ball, football, volleyball, cricket, circle tennis, and sometimes, table tennis. During Campus Week there would also be activities such as campfire, Creole night (Creole cooking competition on open fire), inter floor quiz competition, "In search of a star" (dance, drama, poetry, song), and open night (decoration rooms and floor with one colour, different colours for each floor) including best room competition.

The ‘most looked forward to’ activity for the week is the Campus King and Queen competition. This is where each female floor sends two prospective candidates and each male floor, four. Each candidate must go through an impromptu segment in front of the general pre-service population; they are interviewed by the administrative staff, then they are voted for by the resident population. They must possess good public speaking and leadership skills.

The crowning of the King and Queen is done on the night of the campus week dinner, which is on the final night of Campus Week (also the open night).
